K-3 with Tamron Adaptall 2 55BB - 500mm f8

while I was out shooting the sunset last night:

this was all I saw, as far as wildlife, but I did get to listen to at least two species of owls, coyotes, and a symphony of the usual birds (meadowlarks, red-headed woodpeckers, mockingbirds, etc) here....

Curious how the Tamron rendered the Bokeh/background. Has a sort of pastel-painterly look, more like brush strokes than an OOF photo.

not a good representation of the 55BB's bokeh - this rabbit shot through at least two trellises, so the busyness is more due to that than the lens itself...

OK. Now that you say it, I can see the trellises superimposed more-or-less over the greenery.

Tree swallow couple (the lady must be sitting eggs, as she does not leave the nest box). K1 + 150~450 @ 450, FF mode, deep crop.

Grumpy snapping turtle. I think she was about to lay her eggs, maybe not started digging, judging from the fact that she's still pretty wet.

Flamingo - A rather rare sighting in Kruger Park. Saw this one on two separate days on one visit to the Park- at two different dams.

Male widowbird, with a tail just to please the ladies. Sometimes pleasing the ladies is real effort.

That male tree swallow incoming. Got two shots incoming (the other already posted on a different thread, and one of him leaving that I'll save for a bit later. None of them are quite what I'd like, so I have an excuse to go out again, if I'm free to go (some family crises).
