Gone to my local park today looking for something to shoot. Found this sitting atop a light pole, and then flew down to land in the water's edge...looking for fish.

They look healthy and well-fed. I'm out in more a more rural setting, with a good deal of forest about, and when I spot a local fox crossing the road it's usually very lean, even skinny compared to that pair.

WPRESTO,

I suspect that's because the city's bins and streets are overflowing with discarded food – fast and otherwise.
Might not be the best/ideal diet, but the foxes don't go hungry and they could be providing a useful scavenging service.

Common dolphin. The way these fellows come to investigate a boat, leaping clear out of the water, they seem positively merry and fun-loving as well as curious.

I like this lens. It's easy to focus on either the K-1 or K-3. If you don't mind MF it's a very sharp lens. It's front heavy so you'll need a long foot plate to balance it on a tripod.

Kiss the Hostas good-bye

This was a quick grab shot (as much as that's possible with the K-3, F*600/4, HD 1.4x set-up) in my back yard.
