change

from something high and dry to something wet

Some of the smallest dolphins in the wild -

these are Hector's dolphins captured from a small tourist sailing vehicle out of the port of Akaroa South Island New Zealand

(unfortunately, it is estimated that there may only be 7,000 of these and the related Māui dolphin population found around the North Island is even smaller - estimated at 55)

Welcome to Akaroa and the Bays | Akaroa ? New Zealand

the photos were taken by a Samsung phone camera - SM-N900V as we were on a cruise beginning at Sydney Australia, Melbourne, Port Jackson Tasmania then over and around the South Island and North Island of New Zealand.

Foxes, I like alot

the picture of the Artic fox made my day

here is one of a pair of Bat-Eared Foxes (Otocyon megalotis) at the Kansas City Zoo, the other's ear is in the background

image captured through the glass window of the enclosure (you can see some "ghost images" from the reflection). they were sleeping tucked in their den when I first saw them and slowly woke up

another fox kinda

this is a Giant Indian Fruit Bat aka a "Flying Fox" (I said a fox kinda) one of several found at the Rain Forest at the Topeka Zoological Park.

The photograph was shot from below and behind and shows it stretching out and you can see the blood vessels in the wings, a claw on the "finger" near the head along with the hair on the neck, the ears and snout of the animal.
