Spoonbill. Don't think I've ever seen a live aardwolf, although I spent time inspecting the skull of one in graduate school.

Not really wildlife or what I call wild life but he posed for me and then his attempt to fly away, I caught with a K10D and Pentax 28-105mm @105mm f10.

First lion we saw on our safari, a cub literally left on the side of the road, possibly 8 feet in the grass from the road. This was in the Tarangire National Park in Tanzania, the 2nd park we visited

Hamerkop Scopus umbretta and Banded Mongoose Mungos mungo viewed from above and across the Tarangire River in the Tarangire National Park Tanzania

Mystery bird: Hamerkop, Scopus umbretta | Science | The Guardian

Banded Mongoose: The Animal Files

all of these animals were moving along and wouldn't stay still. They were on the far bank and below us and the banded mongoose, 6 or 7 total, were darting in and out of the greenery. (the dwarf mongoose and banded mongoose which we say on safari were always in groups, the black tail (slender) mongoose were always solitary animals). the river was in the foreground of the picture but i lost it as I cropped the picture.
