Beautiful shots borno. I personally like number 1.

CJ, nice series. I like the standoff.

And no matter which horse I got back on, I'd never see the ones CJ posted...

Thanks everyone. I really enjoy shooting wildlife, so I'm usually out hiking in the mountains every weekend, spending hours getting close in to the wild animals. Its one of the funnest and most rewarding ways I spend my free time. It would be a dream to be able to do it for a living.

Got a few song birds over the last week.

Thrasher: courtsey of baro-nite.

Mockingbird trying to stay cool in 90F heat:

Redwing Blackbird, stealing a few seeds:

Adult female Red-bellied woodpecker. ID from baro-nite.

Not real happy with this shot. Low light, higher ISO, results in icky photo.

Long-tailed Thrasher. The long tail is the giveaway. In the Mimid (Mockingbird) family.

m not entirely sure which woodpecker this is, might be a young Redbellied:
I love that shot! According to Sibley this looks like an adult South Florida Red-bellied (corrected; see post below) female.
