(sorry about the out of focus stick and leaves, not sure what the light brown streak is from, some times you don't have the cleanest view, very cloudy day today)

as I recall some folks like flowers a lot and since this could be a start of a small trend, I'll start with some just about ready to "blossom"

(are flowers wild life??? - well technically they are wild if not cultivated, right? and plants are life, right??)

I think flowers are not part of this wildlife thread even though most flower shots I take are wildflowers.

Two from this morning and this silly bird tried to get inside my room just before these were taken.

is that a black rhino??

here is a white rhino seen from the WDW Animal Kingdom Safari Ride (which, thankfully they have modified so you no longer are in a chase of poachers.)

you can clearly see why this animal was given the dutch name of "wide" which was mistranslated into the english "white"

we were told that these are grazers as opposed to the black rhino which are browsers and each eat different types of plants which their respective mouths shapes assist them in eating

the names "white" and "black" has nothing to do with color, both species are generally the same color

interesting, I have never seen any photos of any of the Asian Rhinos

boy am I glad I asked instead of trying to make an id and looking more foolish than usual
