wild migratory Canada Geese nesting at lake in the Topeka Zoological Park
drying wings after a bath
sitting on the nest
the guardian [ I discovered that if I was taking photographs where I could use my uncovered eye on the "guardian", it was much better because I could "read" its reactions to me and move back and forth. Once I put it to my right, I got into trouble and had to back away when I put the camera down and saw it heading to me with neck straight out and mouth open. I did and it calmed down. but - - - if I hadn't taken the camera from my eye and checked ? ? ? ? ]
uncovered nest right before I checked the guardian
from platform across the lake, note egg
