Lucky? Wait until they eat your roses to the ground. And then start on the garden. And for desert there's the apple trees just waiting patiently for some needy deer to strip them...
Speaking of lucky, how about some wild horses? You see garden, they see smorgasbord. And they put out around twenty pounds of um...fertilizer a day. And what do you need fertilizer for. They've eaten your garden! Oh, hit one of these guys at 60 mph! (You'll only do it once on a motorcycle.)

And for variety, we have wild burros. We call the little guy on the right a 'burrito'.

something smaller

the beaver Castor canadensis we found at the eastern end of the "Fishing Bridge" on the Southeast Entrance Road in Yellowstone

North American Beaver - Animal Facts and Information

you can see that it is eating willow

although it is hard to tell, the beaver is in the watery marsh and would soon swim away

We have these in the flowerbeds and orchard.

Keeps the deer focused on the grass and away form things we don't want them to have.

Ah! A drinking fountain so the critters can wash down their meal. How thoughtful!

How about a golden marmot?

Yer funny.

The work very well at chasing the deer away.
