So, Sranley's been fooling around, has he?
Bittern, being sneaky in the grass as bitterns are known to do. A situation to shut off the AF.

Welll, you know, bastards and bustards are so confusing, especially when the computer does'nt recognise the latter!

And I can testify about that sneaky bittern business

I understand. Computers are always trying to correct my spelling and typing errors. They are so pedantic - no creativity whatever. But from time to time I manage to outwit them .

A heron again. Found a batch of images taken in Florida several years ago from which I processed and posted the best, but there were lots of extras that were pretty good and not as yet used.

Don't recall ever seeing this species before. It's quite handsome with its white face.

I'll up an oriole, another reminder that Spring will return just as we are expecting our first bitterly cold blast out of Canada.

Yes they are. They are probably our most common species of egret or heron. Also found in NZ, New Caledonia, PNG and eastern Indonesia: White-faced Heron | BIRDS in BACKYARDS

Like your oriole. And the optimism. :-)

Still following, and your Oriole is much prettier than ours.
