it is better to be wise and alive

than stupid and dead

when the lion came right up to the vehicle we were in at the Ngorongoro Crater, I asked the guide had he ever had a problem

he said once he had one person sitting behind him who without his knowledge

open a window and try to pet a lion in a similar position

he said the lion grunted, growled and moved as he asked what happened

the tourist admitted he had opened the window and reached out as it was " on his bucket list "

the guide and I agreed the idiot was lucky he wasn't clawed or pulled from the vehicle

In the USA this would be called a cormorant, but as it is in New Zealand I think it should be called a shag.

Shag is a common name usually applied to a great cormorant.

But a word of caution. If you say you are looking for a shag in this part of the world it might not be understood that you are interested in bird-watching.

"Shag" has less savory meaning here as well.

Predator and Prey, for some reason these cheetah brothers were not interested in these Warthogs, perhaps having learned from previous experience not to mess with these tough hogs. They did start stalking a Red Hartebeest that was approaching them a few minutes later, but it galloped off once it got wind of the brothers.
