And the nicest part of those Addo Elephants, they are not as aggressive as some elephants in the Kruger Park

I think this warbler snapped up a bug from just over the water and got his beak & feet wet in in process.

Three attempt to capture a tree swallow in flight. Two problems: 1) these birds are SO FAST ; and 2) they were far away. Must work more on this before nesting season is over, but at the moment, we're having rain again.

Huh! If I had taken those, I'd be over the moon. My attempts at Swallows in flight is at best negligible. They are not around any more here- for the winter at any rate

That is a good capture of a swallow BIF. The markings are similar to our cliff swallow.
White-tailed deer, the only large mammal in this area that is routinely available to photograph, There are black bears, two species of fox (not especially large) but neither is seen with any regularity and fox are mostly here and gone before you can remove a lens cap, unless you're lucky enough to locate a den. Very rarely, maybe once every five years, someone reports seeing a moose, but in over 45 years living in this area I've never seen one locally.

Cross posted to the Post Your Photos, and 300 plus threads.

The beaver pond.
K-1 and DFA 28-105 @ 28mm

K-3 and Tamron 300 2.8 and F 1.7 AF adapter.

It's possible beavers do something besides eat this time of year, but I'm not sure what it might be.

There was more than beavers on the pond.

I added one more, funny when I started out, I was just going to post them here, then I forgot what i was doing, then I got carried away. Now they're in 4 different places. But the last image is exclusive to this thread. The benefits of being last. When I look at the images the next day and realize I left out one I meant to post, the last thread gets the whole series.

Tree swallow posing pretty well, although I would like to have seen a more of the iridescent blue back.

Two more images of palm warblers that have appeared in numbers long the margins of some wet areas. The second image was a lucky capture. The bird took off just as I pressed the button,
