Except for a few human-generated breeds of house cat (goblin cat comes to mind immediately), I find all cats beautiful, and really beautiful to watch when they're on the move.

I goto the zoo alot. It is only a few minutes away. That cat rarely comes out. It was rare to see it lying where you could actually see and photograph it. Normally it is way up high on the rocks. I took waaaaaaay too many photos.

Sea turtle is OK for wildlife I think (too late if it isn't). This one at a rehab center was scheduled for release within 24hr after I took p pictures of it.

Yes. Those African cats can't handle midwest heat.

More likely to be the food rather than the heat Some of them live quite near the equator, some even in deserts, so doubt if its the heat!

That day was around 100 degrees and 45% humidity. No matter where you are from that is hot. Days like those most of the animals never come out of their enclosures.

Yes, I know. I lived in the Mpls/Stpaul area for 35 years and although I grew up in Arizona I never like the summers in the Midwest - hot and muggy. Fall/Winter/Spring were lovely.

Fall is my favorite time of year. It just seems to rain all through now. I have considered moving out west. I know I will not spend my retirement in Michigan. If I never see snow again I would be fine with it.
