Tom, I noticed that text gone when I was checking to see if this thread was specified Pentax only. I don't know the specifics of why it was removed either, or if there ever was any text.

Me either. And I went back and hunted up that thread where I asked Adam about this three years ago. Talk about "egg-on-my-face" situation. Here's what he said: Though I don't know what he meant by "special events."

From this thread here.

Though there are Pentax specific threads in some of the Mini-Challenges, Games, and Photo Stories.

So, if I ruffled anyone's feathers or just plain pi$$ed you off, I apologize now and forever!

I asked Adam and he said I should ask littledrawe so I sent littledrawe a PM. Waiting to hear from him now.

And I have a plus 2 for Tom to not stop posting his great wildlife photos either, too.

Thanks for the message! When I started the thread I was young enough(measured by post counts) to not really have put that much thought into which camera brands were allowed as evidenced by the fact that I was still using my album space here to host my photos and those links no longer work. So I would say, not that I carry any authority, let it ride! A picture is a picture and these ones are supposed to be about wild animals so as long as that criteria is met I'm not going to get upset

On the other hand I was thinking of starting a thread for: "Nocturnal Mammals in the western hemisphere of each continent shot at a focal length of 200mm-400mm below f7.1 with camera bodies that have in-body shake reduction and the crop factor can only be figured in after 1700 hrs" Please come join me in that thread!

Well, I guess that settles it for this thread. Thanks for coming to our aid, for now we know, it's any camera.

I don't think that's fair. It's a long way to the western hemisphere of this continent and I wouldn't be able to participate. I also think that you're a bit too loose with your gear specs.

[Edit] Oops. I forgot the

Richard.
