The males of most bird species are the prettier ones - they're more disposable.

Baboons. This is just a small part of a huge troop that kept coming and coming down the road. Wish they had all assembled for a full-group photo to show how many there were. Reminded me of the Disney cartoon version of "Tarzan" when Jane is attacked by a huge number of monkeys.

I found this microbat roosting between some shadecloth panels. It's a Lesser Long-eared Bat (Nyctophilus geoffroyi). A couple of quick shots and I put the panel back and left it in peace. K-S2 + DFA 100 macro WR.

You have to be careful with bats. Some carry rabies, at least here in the USA.

Blue monkey, AKA Sykes monkey.

Worse here, some of ours carry the deadly Australian bat lyssavirus (which is related to rabies, but more lethal: Australian bat lyssavirus - Wikipedia ) or Hendravirus.
