Have only seen Black Rhino about twice in over 30 years of visiting Game and Nature reserves, this one from Addo in 2011. It was in a boisterous mood, and myself and another kept our distance.

Thanks Tony. I'd like to take credit for envisioning the composition, and directing the elephants into place, but the photo-op was just there, and I just pressed the shutter release.

A fish - I think this is a puffer (AKA blow fish) of some kind, but I'd have to check my pictures of the identification signs to find out (deep in the other computer)

They are indeed a rare sight. I'm sure I've posted this image before, but I still can't believe our luck when we encoutered these mother and calf hook-lips on a walk in Kruger

We also encountered daddy hook-lip shortly thereafter, but he gave us no time to grab a picture before we fled (actually ran) to safer ground

So we had an exceptional photo-op with these three. I think the one lying down is an older calf still traveling with it's mother & much younger sibling.

You guys are making me envious, not to mention giving me itching feet! This the other sighting -PIlansberg National Park, and this one was in quite a placid mood.
