SO, when are you coming for a visit jgnfld? The animals are waiting to snare you, as you will most definitely get bitten by the African Bug, that is if you have not already become a victim!

2019 long-distance travel is likely to be Australia as there are scientific meetings there in the Fall that M may want to attend. We've been as close as New Zealand - and it's a long, long way out there from the eastern USA. Next trip down to your part of the world will probably be Madagascar as that has been on our unwritten bucket list. In fact, I think that M keeps track of available tours there for one that might particularly suit us. A local botanic group organized one a few years back, but it was too close in time to our trip to Kenya & vicinity.

Local wildlife from some time back. I've probably already posted 10~15 images of this particular merganser.

Pretty big croc. Somewhat like cats, they spend a lot of time sleeping, interspersed with short bouts of intense activity.
