B/W is much better, the colors are distracting in the 2nd one imho.

brighter one = first = B&W. I agree with noelcm, the second image is a picture of a building with birds in the way. The first is a picture of birds, with more texture in the feathers. and a bokehed building for background.

While I was sitting at this computer a few days ago, a buck white-tailed deer came into the yard right outside the big picture window. He'd recently shed his antlers, but sadly, hist left forefoot is badly mangled so that he cannot bring it forward to stand on the hooves. There are coyote that might be responsible, or perhaps he was hit by a vehicle as there may be some abrasion scars, but it doesn't matter. There's essentially no hope of recovery and it looks as though a very large abscess has developed.. Probably better if Fish & Wildlife find him and put him down.

Humpback off Wilson's Promontory, Victoria. The Humpbacks were returning from their breeding area in the warm waters of Queensland to their summer feeding grounds in the Southern Ocean, around Antarctica. From a whale-watching cruise in October. K-3 + DA 55-300 PLM at 300mm.
