Thank you W and aslyfox for the quick response. I am noticing so many different birds since I started taking pictures of them couple of month ago
Try to locate a marshy area where some of the big wading birds congregate (herons, bittern, egrets, stilts, yellowlegs etc). They are fun and satisfying to photograph.

Here's a wader I don't think think you'll see around Seattle.

consider joining your local Audubon group

National Audubon Society

Audubon Near You | Audubon

although their main objective isn't photography they may tolerate you

and they will know where to go

Thank you for the suggestion and I appreciate you taking the time to provide with the links. Thank you but I am trying to avoid getting too deep into bird pictures because I can see it starts getting really expensive and I have no where to hide the big lenses from my wife

in the right places, the birds might be very close with no need for a telephoto lens

and with the excellent lenses offered by Pentax, if you can nail the focus, you can crop into the photo and obtain great photos even with " short " easily hidden lenses

I am not recommending hiding equipment from the spouse

and the market place here at the forum might allow you to get good " experienced " lenses at a price the wife would think reasonable.

I am not as dumb as I look nor as smart as I wish. I am not as weak as I seem nor as strong as I think. I am not as near the end of my life as the wildly optimistic rumors assert. I am not as rich as the telephone solicitors hope nor so poor that I cannot indulge chronic LBA (mostly). I am not as good a photographer as what I post might hint, nor as bad as the multitudinous image files that I delete.

AND, I really enjoyed that image, ALLEN.
