Oystercatcher mostly solitary or in a small group, certainly not like those snow geese that look like Times Square on New Year's Eve.

Not quite a flock such as the snow geese just above, but a sizeable gathering og gulls.

From the last week or so.

Not long for this world... he has two tags. We saw the bear trailer coming to pick him up. Stupid people who thought they were doing him a favour feeding him made sure his life is cut short.






The mother gull dragged a huge catfish out of the lake and called to her chicks who flew in from across the lake. It took them over an hour to eat it all. leaving me to wonder, "How big are their stomachs.?"


Why we all had trouble sleeping. This year they are really loud.
