Can you see the fish? If so, you may have the requisite skill to be a wildlife photographer who shoots fish in a tank.


BTW: If you did not see the MythBusters when they attempted to shoot fish in a barrel, it is not so easy. Water slows down bullets to harmless velocity very, very quickly. Very high speed bullets have a tendency to shatter almost as soon as they hit the surface because the faster the projectile, the more the water surface acts as a solid.

it was a very good trip

we had good guides who took us to the right places and then we got lucky

Red-billed tropic bird, Scans from chromes taken on Tobago.
Spoke with M, who as always has a much sharper memory than I, and determined that these images were taken on Tobago, not Trinidad.

Sure heard a lot of these mountain bulbuls, but very few were seen. Fewer still stayed out in the open long enough for a photo.

Merganser. Posted other images of this fellow earlier. The head feathers make him look frazzled, or maybe merganser-pecked.
