K-1 and D FA 150-450. The first two were tight crops the third was less.

First there were two.


One flew off and took the rest of the fish with it!


Then there was just one.

thought they were African Fish Eagles but our guide corrected me

Lucky you! Still onmy bicket list, and they are rare in SA, confined to northern Kwazulu-Natal, though I am told there are a few residents in Durban.

but you folks have White [ wide ] Rhino

I'll never see them in the wild unless we take an other trip to Africa and head south

Hot and bothersome. You are right, we are blessed, even see them in a place like Rietvlei Nature Reserve, a mere hour away . Here's another of my visit there with WPRESTO way back in October 2018- Can't believe its been almost a year.

they were along the top of the bank, flying and landing, light was bad and I did the best I could pp

looked like hundreds of the bee-eaters

and the holes are where the birds were nesting
