the problem with bird reference books are that they cannot be totally reliable - the known range charts I mean
Stevenson's " Bids of East Africa " indicates that most choices are not found in the crater
however it appears that the female Golden-Back Weaver
Ploceus jacksoni might be the bird - plate 258
