Elegant Tern scores a snack.

Took me a moment to visually resolve the fish, but that is one fine Nature image.

Thanks. He was the first Tern to actually dive and surface with a catch where I could get a decent shot. Here are the pre and post shots from the series. Like this one, the post shot shows him with the fish in his beak but you may have to open the shot on Flickr to see it.

I don't do Flicker. Old fashioned = do not trust any of the "social media" systems (Flicker, Facebook, Twitter). I can just see the fish as a white blob at the very tip of its bill by stretching the image on my laptop.

Perentie, with the delightful scientific name Varanus giganteus, is Australia's largest lizard. A zoo specimen, but even down its pit-pen it is intimidating. It looks much quicker and therefore more dangerous than the larger, heavier, slower-moving Varanus komodoensis

Got some shots of a Bald Eagle this afternoon. He caught a fish right off the dock, but I was in the car warming up at the time. I tracked him to the top of an old telephone pole where he made short work of the fish. He was right about at the limit of my lens. Here are a couple of shots.

Finished his fish, now he is just looking around
