Tom - I think you goofed. That last shot is another of a White Throated Sparrow...
Yep, you're right, I somehow missed the white stripe on the crown.

I've only seen them a couple of times before, this was the first time I happened to have a camera handy. First one I saw was before I got into photography, next one was too far away and tried but didn't get anything recognizable...Don't know what it was about that spot, but I got well out of focus shots of several animals there. Deer, fox, coyote, wild cat that may or may not have been bobcat...but loads of good bird shots and flower and insect macros...go figure...

And some kind of butterfly taken with 100mm macro.

For those who don't keep an eye on "post Your Photos"

I usually don't use flash, but Tripper pointed out a flying squirrel at the start of our evening dog walk. He seemed quite agreeable to hanging around and didn't fly off until I put a peanut up in his tree for him, as soon as he got the peanut he sailed off into the night.

Tess' k-5 and Tamron 90, I just grabbed the closest camera available.

That's awesome! Looks like they are wondering what all this stuff is doing in their forest!

I had notice that something had been bedding down on the pile. That morning I found out.

The deer and other critters are all around our place. The deer became a bit of a nuisance eating the roses, but I found motion activated sprinklers that cured that problem.

Here is a shot of a doe I caught with my *istDL and SIgma 600 Cat.

Hand held.
