Stopped at the park on the way home from work today and overheard someone talking about the peacocks in my neighbourhood. I live in Surrey, in suburbia where the houses are 10 feet apart. Now we have a muster of peacocks hanging out on someones house.

Not as nice as I'd like Plus I wanted to see what bw would do since most peacock photos are color.

It did look nice in black and white, I was just curious. I suppose a bump of the right sliders in Photoshop might wake up the color version.

Great thread idea. I'll add a few of mine.

Arctic Foxes and one of their favorite prey.

Those images are amazing. I especially like the arctic fox in the fading sunlight. What did you shoot with?

Giraffes seen at a distance look tall, but it's easy to miss how massively big they can be. This impala gives a good illustration of just how massive. You wouldn't want to be kicked by those legs...

Awesome shots here lately!
Went over to the pond/dogpark this afternoon and saw this small group of Canada Geese. This is the first time I've ever seen them here. All I had with me was my Canon P&S, but I thought it did a decent job (with a bit of PP tweaking)

Been a long cold winter - just don't have the ambition to shoot much. Just happened to grab the card out of Mrs. Stormtech's camera today - she's been busy shooting while I've been napping I guess......

Here's a couple neat ones -

Crows in the snow - looking for where the end of the snow is?

And a pretty neat shot of one or our resident Cardinals -
