AT LAST! I have another image of a cormorant/shag (this one is in NZ, so it's a "shag") to post. I scrounged it up yesterday afternoon, but as I was processing it a noisy thorm came rolling in so I had to quickly shut down the computer so it could be unplugged. Any more cormorants or shags to continue this little binge? Betcha noelcmn has at least one, or maybe sixty.

BTW. In case you didn't' know, birds have a complex respiratory system with air passages and sacks that run all through their body including the interior of their bones. When they fly, the movements automatically pump air through the system.
