I was pretty excited when I spotted a fox soaking up sun in the back yard so I grabbed the M.Zuiko 300/f4 with the Oly 4/3 attached, stopped to check the battery, card and settings and quietly found a good vantage point on the porch. When it came into focus, my heart just sank--that animal is really in bad shape, poor thing. By the time I came back with a small piece of left-over pork to throw to it, it was gone. I doubt it's long for this world anyway.

A grey fox that came visiting. Greys are somewhat nocturnal, and years back one came into the yard that was rabid, but I think this one was OK. This image was taken through a double-pane window from some distance back of the glass, which has degraded the IQ

Little bee eater. It was a long way off so major cropping was required on an image taken @500mm with a 50~500mm Sigma.
