Almost stepped on this little guy in the woods this morning, he was scared and just froze, allowing me to get some descent shots. A sure sign of Spring!

The guy on the bench is giving you a "snake" eye, nice shot, I think you've shot her before, interesting character!

That is the one and only picture I have of her, so likely you have seen this pic before

Don't tell my wife I took this in the front yard

Love the tide pool shots, Javier!

str8talk83 I love the grebe and heron with fish shots.

rob1234 whaddya mean, that shot is terrific. I wish my hawk shots were that good.

Here's a squirrel watching me. A few seconds before he was on the ground, then noticed I was there with a camera...

Another squirrel laying on a limb watching me close.

Eastern Kingbird, about 50 yards from the squirrels in a local park.

Carolina Chickadee - this bird has a nest and is feeding little ones about a foot below the thing it's sitting on. I watched it fly there with bugs or caterpillars, drop down to the nest then fly off empty a dozen times in an hour.

All taken with Vivitar 200mm M42 f3.5 lens, either f8 or f11.

I have a few more newer ones, but have to recuperate and upload them. I got some nice shots this weekend on a trip to Texas for a benefit performance for our old band leader. I'll try to add some of those in a few days, after I get some rest.

Dave, nice snake shot, looks like you had to slither a little to get that!
Rob, great hawk pic! What breed of hawk is that?
Pete, good stuff as usual, I think we need an all squirrel thread. Like the Kingbird, I've taken one photo of a kingbird last year and haven't seen another since, strange how that happens sometimes.

From my recent trip to the wildlife areas along the Lake Erie shore.

Northern Harrier at Metzger Marsh, not a good photo, but the first I've taken of this hawk:

Kildeer, also at Metzger Marsh on the road:

Tundra Swan at Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge:
