Mammals rule, and sometimes drool, but fish go to school.

Another ocelot - the previous image looks like an ocelot to me. This one was outdoors but set itself in the deepest shade of the exercise area (colors flat, and didn't look right when I boosted the saturation more). No cage or wire fence, but a thick plexiglass window well away from the stop-here barrier. Plexiglass is OK IF you can get close and shoot exactly perpendicular to it, but if you're at a distance and/or at an angle, a situation that commonly arises in a public aquarium, it degrades the image badly. Plate glass is a blessing.

Ocelot it is indeed. Concur with your sentiments about glass and plastic! My shot was fortunately through a a wire fence.

Sometimes wire fences can be dealt with. Mesh size & wire size matter, and getting very close is helpful. Remnant either bright or dark, OOF streaks can sometimes be subdued with careful PP work.

Malagasy giant chameleon, I believe. No fences to worry about

Another lizard with no wires, no plexiglass, no plate glass, and being a Galapagos iguana, no fear of being approached by humans. Also being a scan, the image has palpably lost IQ.

That heron is really intent. Here's one that's more relaxed.
