This one can't compete with that beautiful Bald eagle. Nice to see it, albeit scavenging on the road on a bird probably killed by a car.

Nice shot Blue! Those look very similar to our Boomslang, with their large eyes! Are they venomous? The Boomslang is the most venomous snake around here!

Togetherness. FYI: Racers are not poisonous. They are very long, slender snakes with a reputation for moving very fast. Are they in fact capable of higher speeds than other North American snakes? I doubt there are controlled, scientific data to confirm the assertion. Snakes slithering through the grass always appear to be moving faster than they actually are.
