No need to apologize Paulh - it's just good to have you posting.
Here's a tom strutting his stuff(ing) from this morning.

He was fun to watch, and especially hear, making classic turkey noises, and being proud of it. Wish he'd been a bit closer so the image would need less cropping. Also would have been nice if he had turned to face me while displaying, but this was the only time he really strutted out his full feathery glory before wandering into the ferny undergrowth across the road.

Mrs. Stormtech takes a camera with her when she checks around the property looking at how her flower beds are progressing. I thought the color contrast on this one just popped!

They are awesome. The bush is ~20' from the kitchen and dining room window - winds blows right it fills the whole house.

Here's a warthog. The reddish color is from rolling in soil/mud that is ruddy with iron oxide. Their natural hair color is greyish.

Here's a dik-dik with it's almost baby-beastie face. Those huge eyes make it look very gentle.

Squirrel let me get really close with the Makinon 135mm, about 15 feet or so. Not quite as sharp as I like but pretty decent.

I've been joking that I've contracted with Mother Nature to take down the dead White Oak in back of my house but--like my roofer--she's taking her own sweet time getting the job done. Well, yesterday she sent out her ace to move things along:
