I don't think food is the first thing on his mind

Checked out the local YCNH colony. The good news is they're on the nests: the bad news is there are fewer nests than in the past. There's been a decline over the past several years from a peak of about 15 to about 5 this year. I'll have to do some more exploring to see whether they've just dispersed.

I took this looking straight up

She was looking straight down.

Dave, what does YCNH stand for- Presumably H is for Heron?
Spotted a Spotted Thick Knee today-for the umpteenth time.

We first saw a lion and a lioness "getting busy" trying to create more lions when this "third wheel" appeared. He didn't interfere or cause a disturbance but decided to come over to where our vehicle along with 2 or three others were watching.

He visited our vehicles in turn and even decided to take a short nap under ours.

This all occurred in the Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania
