I have many images of swallows from this spot in Ohio. A park where they set out dozens of plastic nesting boxes for them.

Are you suggesting I'm getting rusty? Not so, I'm just developing a patina, in darkish patches here and there.
Colobus Monkey in a nice big zoo enclosure. Handsome shaggy fellows.

Mr. Beaver There has been construction near his home and he's been laying low. But the construction is pretty much done and he's out and about again.

Ringed Teal (Callonetta leucophrys), native to northern Argentina. I once saw a Ringed Teal in Toronto, undoubtedly a feral individual escaped from captivity. It looked so unlike any single species that I had to sketch it because I knew I would't remember all of its gaudy features by they time I got to a library to consult books on waterfowl of the world (back in the days before the worldwide web). I've never forgotten its appearance because it looks like a chimera assembled from parts of Blue-winged Teal, Eurasian Wigeon, Green-winged Teal, and who knows what else.

Thanks for the identification. Did not expect to find out what kind of duck it was. The signage at this zoo was not always as good as I would want. In the open areas, such as the duck pond, there sometimes seemed to be more species in the pen than were identified on the posted signs.

You left out Egyptian Goose, whose plumage is very similar, except for the neck and head parts.
