Lizard, do not remember what kind. Very long tail but it has a little kink at which the color changes slightly. Distal end is perhaps a regrowth after part of the original tail was nipped off..

Looks like some kind of skink, but there are many.NOTE RETRACTION OF "SKINK" IN THE NEXT POST.
A turtle that I think has been in this thread earlier. So many turtles have a gentle, inoffensive look about the face, snappers excepted. DID YOU KNOW: in sea turtles the upper beak, formed of keratin, turns in and up and covers almost the entire roof (=palate) of the mouth.

I'm going to retract the guess at "skink." On second look, the scales aren't smooth & shiny as they are in the majority of skinks

Boat-tailed grackle. I thought of blue-tongued skink at first, but all the images I seen of one have smoother, shinier scales and a slightly different mottled coloration. However, the blue tongue is popular in zoos as they are big, fascinating when they flip out their tongue, and apparently fairly easy to keep as several sites I visited had instructions for maintaining them as pets.
