This little chipmunk let me get pretty close with the Sigma 180 Macro taking one step at a time. Still ended being a heavy crop on the K-1. This is about as wild as the wildlife gets around here.

Glossy ibis. This one was in Florida, but they are seen as far north as MessyChewBits

That probably has something to do with the protruding supra-orbital ridge (prominent "brow" ridge) of the frontal bone...that and the fact that birds can't move the muscles in their face in response to emotion, e.g., among primates.
