Good old NA robin. This is the perfect bird for would-be bird photographers to use to practice their technique. It's common so easy to find one; iIt has nice color; it has patterning of the dark areas; it reasonably sized; it's not overly shy; and it sits out in the open in bright sunshine.

Agreed. That is one cool bird. The one here I sometimes link with a hoepoe is the road runner. A really interesting bird to watch, but its habit of breaking into a run without warning can make getting a picture exasperating. Just as in the cartoons, they move really fast. I've seen several of them, but never obtained an image.
