Koala, king of cute, The fires haved rendered these functionally extinct in some areas = there numbers have been so drastically reduced that it is extremely unlikely they can recover.

Glossy ibis going this way and that. Back light angle seems to bring out the glossy diffraction-generated colors

Bridled terns courting. Among other behaviors there is ritual feeding with the male regurgitating something that looks like saliva (=a clear slightly slimy-looking fluid) that the female eats.

Banaquit, Scan, almost certainly taken with a Sigma 300m f4 APO macro, most probably on a *ist.

Female and male purple honeycreeper. I guess as is traditional with many human societies the female takes the male's name. Scans. They were in very deep shade, so hand holding a 300mm with ISO 64 slide film pretty much guaranteed poor IQ.

I think you do. Amazed at the number of species you managed to photograph on your Australia trip. And at your success in identifying them. Shows high skills and attention to detail, if I may say so.
