Some great raven images Eddy. Don't take too long a sabbatical.

Long-tailed widowbird (male) photobombed by a tree - a hazard when panning. I should, in fact I will go back and clone out the offending, distracting branch.

A lion in the headlights. Our vehicle was obliged to following this sauntering lioness for quite a while, as passing would have meant getting too close (based on regulations, not danger from the cat)

Same image of a long-tailed widow bird that I posted above, after mangling it in PP.

As the saying goes, the best camera is the one you have with you. Driving down the highway I did not expect to be seeing a Great Grey owl just sitting on a post at the side of the road. I did have my trusty K200D with 18-135 close at hand, so was able to get a few images shooting through the passenger door window. It is my understanding that the slightly open wings are a behaviour to help with cooling off to prevent heat stroke.
