SCANS. A salamander I found when cleaning wet leaves out of the driveway. It is rare and endangered species in MessyChewBits.

Phoebe nest atop the light fixture out on our deck.SCAN. Original taken with a K5 + 400mm f4 Tamron with two strobes. I remember well working to get images of this nest. None of my tripods was tall enough to get a good angle, so I used a Bogen clamp to mount the camera atop a ladder, pre-focused then triggered remotely whenever one of the parents came with food.

Strange Encounter

I few days ago I saw what I thought was two turkey vultures, although I could not tell what was going on it looked odd. It was too windy to hear anything, and it was far enough out it was tough to tell. When they finally parted and one flew off I thought it could be an Osprey, so I thought it was two Ospreys. But the other flew off and did not look like an Osprey, I figuered I just did not get a good look at either one.. When I downloaded the photos I saw it was a Turkey Vulture apparently trying to steal an Osprey's catch. I never saw anything like that before. Sorry for the quality of the photos, very strange encounter.

Kocal wildlife at Zoo Lake

And thrilled to have seen a Malachite Kingfisher at Florida Lake, but only had the 70-300mm with me. Not exactly the best lens for such a small bird

Stunning wildlife images. What could be more potent than Olympus quality with a brilliant mind in control?

Many, many thanks for the photographic treat. Awesome, friend.

Got a little poser in the garden, I think there is a pair nesting in one of the bushes.

A piebald deer that visited our yard two years ago reappeared recently. It survived at least two hunting seasons despite being conspicuous and a tempting "look what I bagged" attraction. Most of the shots I took with my little Sony missed focus because of foreground twigs.
