Definitely not the time and place to put a hand to your mouth and shout: "He guys! Come quick and see what I found!!" By the time they arrived they'd find only you, here and there and everywhere.
Yes, bison are notoriously un-domesticated.

Somewhere in a box I have an old kodak 110 print of my 10-ish year old daughter holding out some moss to a young caribou. Sweetest pic I ever took, but I haven't seen it for years now. Need to find it.

Don't suggest offering hay to a bison calf, however.

When it comes to offering food to hooved animals, probably the most dangerous are 1) African Cape buffalo; 2) muskox. Male muskox, even hand-raised from birth, are extremely dangerous especially in mating season. Some wild animals just cannot be tamed. Polar bears, like muskox, can be hand raised from birth but when they reach a certain age they starting seeing all humans as food.

[ still looking at photos from the last time I was in Yellowstone ]

looking down at a peregrine falcon high on rocky spire above the Yellowstone River

[ the mate was about 30 feet below this one ]

unfortunately due to road closure until 2022, there is no way to go back to where I took this photo which was a small pull over parking lot on the Tower to Roosevelt Road

as I was travelling down the road, I saw the professional using his camera and huge telephoto lens pointed down over the short stone wall, stopped and found out what he was photographing

Awww...how precious! Despite the fact that Mama would not be amused at your intrusion, that's a really sweet image.

Two images of a bluebird from quite a long time ago. Must get out next Spring and try to get something new and different.

Nevertheless, very pretty! These birds don't visit us, alas.

Wish this monitor had better resolution, then I might be able to spot some snails you overlooked

Australian northern water dragon. The stonework and pool at the right are obviously man-made, but the lizard is wild. It was in the sculpture garden of an art museum.
