Northern water snake. Some years these are abundant in some places. Must check along one trail that skirts the edge of a pond where in past years I've seen a score of these snakes in one day.

unless I can change my wife's mind, I won't get any new photos from Africa she thinks two trips to Tanzania ( 2016 and 2019 ) was enough

truth be told, I am not too sure about going back because of Covid issues and the expense

however I am very glad we went
