Personally, I don't know if I can survive another month but you never know. I'm taking it day by day. It would be fun to shoot for a full 365 though.

you can do it man, but you don't make it easy on yourself picking IR one month and lens baby the next but it sure keeps the rest of us interested

Too true. I'm learning though and that was the point.

I have to say that was thinking about using a pinhole lens next month...

Well, I was sort of joking actually. I do have a pinhole lens although I don't think it's a Skink but it works exactly the same as I understand. I haven't really done much with it since I got it last fall. The one shot I've posted with it is here:

_IMG7007 | Flickr - Photo Sharing!

It's basically a steel pinhole on a k-mount. Point the camera, apply stop-down metering, and shoot. That's it.

Doing a whole month of that would drive me batty but you never know...

it's different, that's a shorter exposure than i expected at .5 sec thought it would be longer must be a bigger hole than the one's i looked at

I like the skink's ability to change up the pinholes but they charge a lot for something pretty simple IMHO

I'll have to look at it again. I got it second hand from another member. I may not know the diameter of it. Given the used one was a lot less that the Skink (which I had been admiring too), I was willing to see whether or not I liked the darned thing first. So far, I've confirmed that:

1. it works
2. and that, yes it gives me a blurry figure

What I haven't confirmed is whether or not I really like this creatively or not. I've even asked myself, 'ok so you've have a DSLR system worth $$$ and lots of really sharp lenses, so why do you want to explore something that is the complete opposite of all of that?' Haven't found the answer to all that yet.

the one thing skink has done is the pinhole is actually on a piece of exposed film sandwiched in a plate.it's a 246um pinhole optimized for the Pentax (it varies by camera/registration distance i believe) i know it works on both the film and digital bodies so sensor size wouldn't affect it just the registration distance. the idea of it being a piece of film sandwiched in brass was pretty cool because it lets you use zone plates and other effects
I think it takes a particular subject matter to really shine though
Saw a foggy streetscape from an office tower area that was very reminiscent of old turn of the century stuff. it was b/w but i think i would make it more of a cyanotype myself

Skink pro kit (3 different inserts) is currently $83 cdn plus $10 shipping so I'm still up in the air on it

Well, got home today and looked at my pinhole lens. Lo and behold it's a Skink. Unfortunately, there is no indication of what the pinhole size is and there is definitely a film over the pinhole.

I'm struggling already. I didn't get a shot at all yesterday. Things are crazy. I'm re-financing the house and the appraiser is coming this morning. My wife had a fit but with a warm up and rain coming, I'm afraid a cellar full of water wouldn't give a good impression. The snow is 6 ft deep along 3 sides of the house. So my excuse for not shooting is getting everything cleaned and in somewhat order so the bank doesn't think we are relatives of Ma and Pa Kettle.
