Yes, the Sigma. It's the non DG version and has macro but only @300mm. Does nicely so far as I can tell. I had considered the Pentax 55-300mm but mine on 300mm is f5.6 and the Pentax is f5.8, and I don't know for sure but heard it has a plastic mount and mine is metal mount.

Congratulations to everyone, Day 18 is looking very much like a "showcase" day for this mini-challenge. Lots of great photos.

Had some unfortunate events this weekend. My car got hit. Then I got hit (with a shovel, by myself lol) and a whole lot of cuts and bruises from working in my friend's yard. He's the one that hit the car too. Poor fella thought I was going to leave him with all the work. Oh well. Life happens. I do have some shots to cover the two days though so I'll upload these tonight. Preparations for the flight have me in a mini frenzy though which limits my time spent on photography. I promise to check out all of your photos soon!

I just wanted to thank all for some great shots of a variety of subjects.
In commenting and viewing the daily selections, I feel as if I am living spring vicariously through your eyes.

Because April has been crappy weatherwise in my neck of the woods, your images have sustained me until spring finally arrives. I only hope to capture something with color by month's end.

Hope you feel better by now, Voytech.

10 days to go and I've got the feeling the hardest part is going to come. I took pictures of all the plants and flowers in the neighbourhood and as much as I like my Tamron I'm ready to let it take a break. And thanks everyone already so much for your nice comments, I'm very happy with those.
The thread/album link works like a charm and it's easier to keep pace with looking at all the shots.

Easter break here is 5 days straight without working. I'm very much looking forward to this. But tomorrow will probably be a "safety shot" day, because I'm very busy at work.

Ditto for 27th - 30th as well.

We're all still here despite our tribulations and trials..hang in there Voytech...a nice hostie shot maybe mate!

I'm rostered on for Easter Saturday, put a damper an me hot rod weekend ta Narranderra! So the cheese and kisses is taking us back down to Rye...so be prepared for more beachy stuff like last month! And you northeners be prepared for our miserable winter shots...can't wait for your glorious autumn stuff though (hee hee)!
