I'm not sure right now. I'm jonesing to do more with my DA-15 so it would be perfect for the job. But I've been so busy lately it seems that the only time I shoot is running around for Single In April instead of using the right lens for the job and enjoying the shooting. On the flip side my classes will be over next week and things will relax at least a little bit.

Stay tuned.

I am undecided.
Want to go wide for the foreseeable future.
I guess I will wait to decide at the last minute. (Hush don't say a word to my wife)

Thanks Karen. The Tammy is a great big honking lens, but...it can produce spectacular landscape shots. I've been wanting a reason to pick it up again and May is as good as any month. Stay tuned.
I'm looking forward to seeing the result, it's on my list as well but for live music events where I can't get close enough, I could use one for late June If I'm going to do it this year

Good deal man,
That works for me. Although for full disclosure my wife understands and nurtures my photographic addiction despite all the fighting.

i will probably be missing next couple of days for shooting SiA.
I have to go to hospital for a visit, no worries, routine tests, precautionary only,
but will try make up with a couple of extra shots before end of month.

I hate hospitals. when it comes down to it

Hope everything checks out ok Bruce.

As for SiM, I'm in and will probably go Limited. It's been awhile for them but since my roses bloom late May, I reserve the right to swap lenses (something I have not done much of in the other Single games).

Hope all goes well with the tests Bruce.

I was thinking of holding off on putting my new Tamron 90 to the test this month but I just reviewed my shots from last year and realized that May might be the best month if I want to catch blossoms. Then, while I was out doing a few test shots in the yard I found a few wild violets poking through. I took a few quick shots just to celebrate. My technique requires work but I was keen and these tiny guys are only an inch or so above ground!

Looks like it may be the Tammy after all...

Hope the time passes quickly and all goes well with your tests, Bruce!

Joe, those quick shots are so beautiful. Glad you are out enjoying your new lens already!

I'll probably be in also, perhaps with my SMC-K 55/1.8. I haven't used it nearly enough. Though I like the zoom option too, and I have a Kiron 70-210 fully manual or a CPC Phase 2 KA mount 70-210, neither of which have had more than a passing shot here and there. I actually find it sort of an awkward length on the digital as I typically want wider or longer reach.

Whichever one I end up with, I think as a personal challenge I'm going to try the "Make it Count" challenge I proposed earlier in the month. Designate a shot, based on available subjects, and really force myself to check settings etc before I snap.

I'm keen to do a Single in May.
So far in previous and current months I have used:

A28/2.8, DA21 F3.2, K55/1.8, DAL 35/2.4 , Tamron 17-50/2.8, and Tokina 17/3.5

I'm open to suggestions for May, I do have a *few* lenses left (big understatement)...

Please help?

ps Comrade Helios arrived today.

I was looking for a separate thread on SiMay but thought I'd check in here to see if you all had started talking about SiM. Yep, you did. I want in on this one. My car is going into the shop tomorrow to get a few things fixed and I'll be able to drive further from home. I'll probably stick with the Sigma lens as I do a lot of large water bird shots in the summer and this is my main lens for that. So, count me in too.

I've been looking at all of your photos for SiA and what great shots I've seen. I haven't commented on all of them but I have seen them.
