Challenge #41: House on a Hill

Ok. I'm taking up the reins for this challenge. It will be open for 2 weeks (or longer if I don't have time to judge -- just kidding).

The file can be downloaded here, but there's a preview below as well.

This challenge is a house on a hill that I shot one day... I want to see what you can do with it to add interest and to enhance the aesthetic quality. There's plenty of sensor spots and distracting elements to keep you busy, I think . But as always, I'm open to any and all ideas. Be creative--that's half the fun of these challenges!

Again, the file may be downloaded here.

House on a Hill

Have fun!!

Cool Mike.
Thanks for setting up this fortnight's challenge.
A clean and simple entry to start off:

Mike:
Thanks for posting the challenge. It looks like it will be fun. I just downloaded the picture, but will not likely get to processing it today. Will let you know when it is done.

Best regards:
Paul

Here's my contribution for the (resurrected) challenge:

Some cropping, straighten up, cloning of distractions and such...

Some work on contrast and color and, most important, I've taken care of the lawn without spending water.

Hope you like it...even though I've my doubts (at least there's no ghosts this time).

Made few changes. Went to B&W where slight adjustments made to slighly soften , then painted the driveway and house back in as original colour. Sharpened the image, added a stroke around the photo and put in a dropped shadow to give the appearance of a slightly hovering photograph.

Took a different approach! The image looked a little bare so I added some scenery!

If only we could do this for real! Yard work would be so much easier.
