Wow, dramatically different results! Kudos! I really like the 1st shot the most, and I see what you mean with Casper; amazing & striking. I look forward to more. Sounds like we got you hooked! I probably have a few thousand shot lead on you of my 3, but no doubt you'll catch-up!

I realized where it is that Adam shows our rep comments and I found yours only after I posted my 'hint hint nudge nudge'... glad you didn't take offense to my boldness.
Thanks for the encouragement! I'm glad you like the first shot, looking at my data I realize it was shot at 1/15, handheld so I'm pleased it came out as well as it did. The all black face of a black cat is a challenge. But you're right there will be more.

Thanks again for your encouragement, I just might have to give you some more 'rep' for that!

@clou, you succeeded where I failed in the examples I posted. You nailed the eyes really well.
Thanks. As our cats have enough patience, this makes life easier.

I found out that (manually) focusing on the light reflected on the eye is the best way to get good results (for me).

One more of Fiia, now she's out and about (from under the couch) even in the daytime. This time with Vivitar 2.8/100mm macro:

Clou, I love your cat's look of contentment.

This is our tabby kitten, surveying the scene from the kitchen counter, looking to see what trouble he can find...

My cat Ben gives me that look when he's been washing himself and senses me watching him!

I especially like the photo with her sleeping!
