Tortoises and suchlike are sold live through the mail, which I think is terrible! But kittens?

Actually the two cats we have are a handful as it is!

Another one of Ella, taken today:

And a variation on this same photo:

This rotated crop was an accident, and I tried Topaz Simplify BuzSim on it. I've never used this particular plugin before, but I kind of like the effect on this image.

Our cat decided that the keyboard had to make place for her:

Her take on being a model (no further comment required)

twokatmew: Two lovely shots of Ella and I too like the plugin effect... but wouldn't want to use it too often.

Thx. And yes, re plugin effect. I didn't like the crop as it was, so before tossing it, I thought I'd experiment. I was amazed at the result. I've never found a use for that plugin before.

Yes, it's not often that I manage to turn a throw-away into a keeper, but this time I'm rather thrilled at the result.

I love your messokittens photo.

Thanks Dave! To be honest I missed the focus a bit and had to sharpen the eye quite a lot. Shot with an Auto-Takumar 3.5/35mm wide open btw

Thx, I wish I could. But ... the crop is only 941x941 pixels. I'm no expert on printing, but might I get a decent-looking 5x5" from this? Now if I'd had my Kx with DFA100/2.8 instead of my LX5 when I took this photo, it would be a different story. But ... at least I got the shot!

My dog Shelly, just chewing a stick in the yard. I like the raised brow of her left eye.
