I got a new fisheye lens today. I took it out on my lunch break to a fairgrounds about 1/4 Mi from my house and who was there but my own cat! He was happy to see me.

I'm generally not a fisheye fan but that's really wonderful, Matt.

Thanks!
It's a really cheap one, a MF Rokinon 8mm f/3.5. I saw it on Buy.com (via Cameta Camera) for $265 which happened to be what I had sitting in my PayPal account and I couldn't resist!

This is apparently a different design than many other fisheyes and it seems less distorted for a 180 degree FOV than I have seen before. I haven't had it for 24 hours yet but so far I really like it.

Thanks, Robin! That's the last of the kittens--the one we decided we couldn't part with. All the others have been placed in good homes--the last, with my sister who flew up from Florida to get her.

I should say that, despite our initial misgivings (and notwithstanding the chaos, work and expense), having a litter of kittens was a realy wonderful experience for the household. I enthusiastically recommend it.
