I'm not sure if she was more irritated with my dog, or me using the flash on her.

Great seeing all these new members joining in here. You've been stepping it up in this thread, especially sweetbay if I may say... But sweetbay, you're not telling us their names!

I shot a buch of the girls recently so it'll give me shots to post for a few months while I send the camera back for repair. I finally started using the flash with the aperture stopped down some (f/6.3) with the venerable Tamron 28-75. A bit 'harsh' but sharp for more then a fraction of an inch in depth. I need to get an off camera flash & diffuser. ...a pickie of Nala and Zoe.

I noticed btw it's interesting btw how one can notice the progress in people's learning of their camera across multiple posts when they do. That's pretty neat I think.

sweetbay, I was touched by that shot of your 19 1/2 year buddy! Wow, that's fantastic. Fingers crossed for more! We've never come close to that luck.

gawan, that was a cute 1st post, and touching 2nd; hope she got over it. Really nice look to the 2nd; is that a lensbaby?

Thank you very much m8o! Learning the K10D and finally daring to post something here has been a great pleasure. This forum has given me so much education!

No lensbaby, I simply used one of Picasa's custom filters to express the mood I supposed Elsa must have had. She is now well and lively again

new addition

Introducing Lola,
This past June we had a stray decide our cellar was a good place to have her litter.. we raised them until they were weaned, then gave three of them away. But we adopted the mom and one of her daughters, Lola. Check out her bobtail, it's maybe 2 or 3" long.

She's a nutcase.

Met Joey. Technically, he is my Galah (Australian native parrot renowed for their stupidity) but he has been living with my mum and dad for more than 25 years so I couldn't take him elsewhere if I wanted to.

Fritz your cat looks like an Abyssian. She has a lovely face.
Yep, she's an Abby. And the apple of my wifes eye. She absolutely loves this cat! And as you mentioned before, she has "mousers" ears. She is quite the hunter. None of God's little creatures are safe if she goes outside, which is why I put a bell on her collar. It gives all the other animals fair warning that she has arrived.

I didn't have the focus spot on in this shot, but I still love the "look". Makes me laugh.
