In August my 15 year old family dog died then this week my 12 year old and 3 year old dogs died of distemper so a friend of my daughters ask if we could take her dog so here he is. He is a mix breed of some kind but we do not mind I have discovered they usually make the best dogs and usually the healthiest.

Sorry for your loss! This guy looks like a fine and handsome companion. I'm also a big fan of mutts.

Sorry to hear about your dogs, Tim. Isn't there a distemper vaccine available? Or maybe I'm thinking of cats...? Nothing wrong with mutts - that's all I've ever owned & agree they tend to be healthier. Good luck with the new guy!

Sorry to read about your dogs ... but, glad to read that you have a new addition. Our dog is a mixed breed that we rescued at the French equivalent of the SPCA ... he's a good guy, a great dog. J

I'm sorry for your loss, it must be hard to lose so many so close together. It's wonderful that you have a new loveable mutt. You are right, they make great companions and they don't normally have the same health issues as pedigreed pups do. It looks like he's settled in nicely.

Chevy looks like a good dog

Shot of Jeannie taken earlier this morning. Seeing this shot reminds me it's time to get her a haircut!

After couple months of waiting, my degus arrived last wednesday. They are little over two months old now. It's been almost half a year since my last gerbil died, and I thought these fellas might be nice change after 10 years of gerbils.
